Confidentiality: Client privacy will be treated with the utmost care and respect. Having a confidential space is one of the most important elements of the process. The content of your session is strictly private. The law protects the relationship between the client and psychotherapist and information cannot be disclosed without written permission. The few exceptions to the law will be reviewed with you prior to the first session.

Appointment time: I provide 50 minute therapy sessions if you arrive at our scheduled time. If you arrive late that time will reduce the length of our session.

Cancellations: Please call as soon as possible if you need to cancel your appointment. You are responsible for the cost of the session for cancellations received less then than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Exceptions are made for true emergencies, but as an alternative to cancelling, you can also convert your in person appt to a video appt in order to avoid the fee.

Fee: My standard fee for private pay clients is $200 per 50 min session. Some people prefer a longer session which works to create lasting change in a faster way, especially with the TEAM-CBT model. Feel free to inquire to learn more about these options. I offer a certain amount of slots on a sliding scale for those who are unable to afford this fee. Feel free to call and we can discuss realistic options.

Insurance: You may be eligible for some or all of the cost of therapy, if your PPO insurance plan reimburses for out-of-network services. As an out- of -network provider, I will provide you with a statement on a monthly basis with all the necessary information your insurance company will need to reimburse you. It is recommended that you call your insurance carrier. The phone number can be found on the back of your insurance card. Check your coverage carefully and find the answers to the following questions:

  • Do you have a deductible?

  • What is your deductible and has it been met?

  • Are there a limited number of sessions per year?

  • Is approval required from your primary care physician?

  • What percentage will your insurance reimburse you for using an out -of -network provider?
